This document replaces the existing Form 14135, Discharge of Property from Federal Tax Lien. There is no need for any changes in regard to the form if it is used to remove the federal tax lien. If a person wishes to use Form 14135 to complete an assignment of a property tax liens to them or to another person, the person to whom the liens were assigned could use this form to discharge the liens without having to pay the IRS any or all of the remaining tax debt.
